Is it a bad thing to look totally different with makeup on than you regularly look with it off (Read details.)?

Posted under Anti Aging Makeup by Marianne Rousseau on Friday 31 July 2009

Okay well like i don’t mean to expose this girl or anything but…
Look at this question & Pics…

http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080624174943AAdemy6

Is it okay for people to look different ..because I look kinda different too with makeup on and My mom makes the biggest deal because of at shes like Anti makeup..So yeah.

Also i wear foundation mascara,a llil eyeliner and bronzer occasionally.

And this lady in my neighborhood went up to my mom and said that i shouldn’t be wearing makeup at my age (14)..(shes also anti makeup ,+my neighbor hoods kinda like desperate housewife’s people are always gossiping and getting into others business,so now i feel guilty whenever i wear it i don’t know why i just do because my mom always yells at me for it )

But all of my friends say I look way prettier with it on ,And Not to brag but guys are flirting with me more now.

And i like how i look with makeup on its not caked on by the way lol.

Thanks ?
Nope my makeup is deffs not caked on :)
Aha thnaks for all the answers there all prett good so far but chill.. Ah im 14,not 21 im not gonna get all that serious with boys yet!
Im just gonna have fun and stuff ,im still young so i can look dolled up everyday :)

hum. well your mom and neighbor are probably just worried because you DO look so good with make-up on, hence all the attention from boys. I am 25, and I must say I can’t agree with them. For one thing, you are old enough to make your own decisions at this point, and explain that you are mature enough to understand that you WILL be getting more attention and you accept the responsibilities that come with it. I started wearing make-up at 13 or 14 and my parents were okay with it, they just said I will be telling boys that I want to date. I DID want to date, and you know what I got asked out by losers, but DUH I didn’t go out with them, in fact I didn’t kiss anyone until I was 18 and I married that same guy!! So they are kind of blowing it out of proportion. Also, I had acne back then and it helped me feel better about myself until I got medication for it to clear up. People can tell you to love yourself all you want, but the reality is that make-up helps EVERYONE look better, even male celebrities wear it! I mean c’mon. I think wearing a ton of make-up at like 8 or 10 is pushing it, but the minute you hit your teens it’s your god given right to wear make-up, like being a teenager isn’t hard enough as it is, you have someone telling you to not try and look your best? As far as not looking like yourself without it, you are being hard on yourself. Of course i think that, you may look DIFFERENT but you don’t look bad. I feel like crap without it though, I won’t lie. The best advice I ever read was about this how this one actress said her mom never left the house without it, and if it makes you feel better, do it! People who criticize a pretty girl with make-up are just jealous, like I said to that other girl, be thankful you have the features to play up in the first place. It’s true that some people get away with not needing a lot of make-up, but the bottom line is that EVERYONE looks better with it on. On another note, I knew many models and talent scouts, and honestly they search for people with androgynous faces so they can play them up. So a lot of models are just breathtaking with make-up and more normal in life because agencies want VERSATILE faces, so they can play them up with different make-up styles. I hope you feel better, and if your mom gives you crap just tell her what I said or that you will just do it behind her back anyway! That’s what they did in my day, and i bet it hasn’t changed. I am sure conservative moms are having coronary failure now, but they need to get over it. People who are suppressed at a young age to express themselves go crazy when they get out on their own. It’s just make-up!! ^_~

Why are most reviews so negative on anti aging/anti wrinkle free skin care trials?

Posted under Anti Aging Skin Care Product by Marianne Rousseau on Friday 31 July 2009

I admit 5 months later and still seeking that I still have not found the best anti wrinkle/anti aging free skin care trial product yet! But with all these negative reviews, maybe Im not giving these products enough time to produce? Are there any good skin care maintenence products produced from these trials or all they all scams? Please refer me to any good, safe, and legit offers? Thank You!

Because there is no fountain of youth panacea skin cream. You cannot turn back time by putting a cream on your skin. These products appeal to vanity.

Just turned 30, What tried and testing anti aging product really works for prevention?

Posted under Anti Aging Beauty Products by Marianne Rousseau on Friday 31 July 2009

I turned 30 in November. I have noticed the beginning of crows feet by my eyes which I expected at this age and can live with but I have also noticed that the pores on my nose and cheeks are becoming larger! I am using a night repair serum by estee lauder (because it was a free gift with a make up purchase) but other than that and proactive moisturizer I don’t really know what I should be using or doing. I also occasionally get spots here and there which puts me off trying out new anti aging creams.
My question is: What tried and testing anti aging product really works for prevention and what should my beauty routine be now that my skin has begun to age?

did you try lauren hutton makeup? Lauren hutton is still modeling in her 60s all due to her special makeup. The makeup really does make you look years younger. You should try it!

Are my skin products causing more harm than good?

Posted under Anti Aging Makeup by Marianne Rousseau on Wednesday 29 July 2009

I’m 26 and recently started using anti-aging skin products. Lately it seems my skin has little bumps. Not really zits. Just these little bumps. Sometimes itchy sort of. Someone told me its probably irritation from the anti-aging products (which contain retinol and sacilyic acid.)

Is that most likely the case? And if so, which anti-aging products (lotion and makeup etc) are for sensitive skin?

As far as I’m concerned, Aubrey Organics are the best products. They’re all natural and not too expensive. They have a special line of products for sensitive skin.

Another one that’s excellent is Nu Skin. My mom’s used their products for years (as well as Aubrey products) and I’m serious-people almost always thought she was my sister when I was growing up. She had great skin.

I hope that one of these helps. My mom spent a lot of research before she found these two companies. They have great ingredients that won’t harm your skin.

Is there a website that build a daily pack with the supplements and vitamins I want. name brands?

Posted under Anti Aging Supplements by Marianne Rousseau on Wednesday 29 July 2009

I’m looking for a site that uses name brand supplements and vitamins to build these packs. I’m very interested in anti aging products so if they have lines such as LIfe Extensions and Solaray that would be great. I also like food based supplements so lines such as New Chapter Organics and Rainbow Light would be great. I can’t be the only person who takes a lot of nutritional supplements and vitamins and is looking for a better way than using a vitamin dispenser. It just makes sense that there is a web site out there that lets you build perosnlized daily supplement packs from the same supplements and vitamins you can find in a great health food store but get them packaged into daily vitamin packs instead of all the bottles. I konw there are a lot people who focus on antiaging, longevity and alternative medicine that would want a service like this so I’m sure one exists. If one exists, I would love to know about it.
Someone just told me about a site where I can suppelements… thats not what I’m looking for. I’m looking for a web site that will build a custom pack of supplements with what I want in it.

http://www.vuru.com

I think this is what you are looking for. The site’s web address is www.vuru.com. They allow you create made-to-order daily supplement packs. I also found some really good info abou the site at http://www.web2list.com/forum.php?logoid=1652

This is pretty interesting. It must be knew. If you try it out, let me know how it is.

Anti-Aging products and Acne prone skin (for men)?

Posted under Anti Aging Skin Care Product by Marianne Rousseau on Wednesday 29 July 2009

I am a 28-year-old asian guy who enjoyed acne-free beautiful skin when I was in my early teens ’til age 26. It all went downhill from there. Acne attacked my skin and now I look ‘ugh’. Fortunately, with help from dermatologists my battles with it has stabilized though I still have acne scars and occassional acne on my oily skin. I’m getting older and I know by age 30 men should start using anti-aging products to combat skin aging.
The problem is dermatologists forbid me from using any moisturizers (even those that are high-quality) and limits me with a facial wash and toner only (completely skipping ’step 3′ of skin care). I admit it has done help, my acne problems have stabilized. But I’m worried about my skin not getting any anti-aging treatments and it’s showing signs already. This is quite a problem for me because all anti-aging products are all in moisturizer form (milk, gel, cream, mask, and emulsions) – all things which I can’t use because my skin reacts to them negatively.

Try pro-activ

Is it alright to use most beauty products during pregnancy?

Posted under Anti Aging Beauty Products by Marianne Rousseau on Wednesday 29 July 2009

Specifically, is it okay to use acne washes containing 1% salicylic acid or anti-aging creams? I am wondering about topical use only, as I know better than to ingest any sort of strange medications while pregnant.

Yes. I had to use acne wash while pregnant with my son, or I would have become one giant pimple! :) He was a totally healthy 9lb, 4.7oz boundle of joy! I also used, in limited amounts, sunless tanners while pregnant with my daughter, and she was a totally healthy 8lb baby.

What are some good things for acne [face, chest, back], cellulite, & anti aging?

Posted under Anti Aging Makeup by Marianne Rousseau on Monday 27 July 2009

I have acne on my face, back, chest. and it doesnt seem to be getting better only worse, ive tried minocylcine, pro-activ, didnt work. is there any GOOD face stuff u can put on before u makeup or at night?? to keep blemishing away or help them clear up? anyway im 5′9" and i weigh 130 lbs i have cellulite on my buttocks, inner & out thighs, & its very embarrassing..any diets? wraps? etc. and ive noticed that my eyelids are starting to droop..out of no where [maybe not enough slip, or not a good sleeping schedule] i dont want my face to age so quickly im 17. and also anything to keep my face from aging? sorry to ask so much. anything at all for these??? please stuff that works..i dont wanna waste my time.. thanks much!<3
Oops i meant "maybe not enough Sleep" haha

I can’t really help with the cellulite. I can however help with the acne problem. If you’ve tried minocycline, you could also try doxycycline. Give it time to work, and in a month you should be clear. Its better to try less harmful things rather than go straight to accutane. If doxycycline isn’t working. Then the next step is to go for either birth control or accutane. I know accutane works well for back acne. It cleared me up for good. As for facial acne, it works too BUT its not a cure like everyone says unfortunately. It does however make it a lot milder each course of accutane you go through. I’ve been through accutane twice, but my back acne, after the first time, NEVER came back. For facial acne I find tazorac to be wonderful, but it takes 4 weeks to start working, and does make you peel and your face burn a little, but if you get past that, it really does work. Other options are to try a combo of bluelight & levulan treatment which is a laser treatment. It works apparently as well as accutane. So I would say go to your dermatologist, and see what they say and if you want to try a certain treatment ie. birth control, or go for the accutane, just ask. If they won’t give you what you want, seek another dermatologist.

I’d ask the dermatologist about the cellulite. Maybe try one of these procedures: http://www.tcclinic.com/endermologie-toronto.php

As for the droopy eyelids. Check out this page: http://www.stlukeseye.com/Conditions/Ptosis.asp
Consult your doctor. Find out why is this happening? Sadly the only treatment is corrective surgery called Blepharoplasty.
Check out more info at: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/blepharoplasty/SN00023
But really consult your doctor to find out why this is happening.

If you want more info about acne treatments and if they indeed do work, check out: www.acne.org
They have a forum there and offer support and discuss treatments. Remember too, that what works for one person, doesn’t work for everyone.

Stay positive and remember that no matter what you are still beautiful. Don’t let the things that bother you about yourself get to you too much. Remember you will get them treated, and soon before you know it, you’ll be looking like you want to.
I went through a similar phase. I was upset because I didn’t like my acne, and had some scarring from it and was trying to figure out how to treat it. I kept my head high and knew I’d get through it, and despite those things bothering me guys still liked me, and now years later I got through it, scars gone, acne gone and I’m happy, so I wish you best of luck in getting through everything!

What is the best supplement to take for anti aging?

Posted under Anti Aging Supplements by Marianne Rousseau on Monday 27 July 2009

Hi

I have just started taking Aloe Vera in liquid form and I am also taking Omega oils. My diet is inclusive of 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, and I also eat lots of oily fish.
Just wondering if these were fine to slow down aging or if there is something better I could be taking?
Thank you in advance!
I hope you can help!

protein is important. Read "The Importance of Protein for Beautiful Skin and Hair"

DMAE and alpha-lipoic acid are 2 good supplements.
